Design Leader · Team Builder · Enterprise Innovator
17 years building teams that ship, cultures that last, and products that earn trust from the people who actually use them.
The work I'm most proud of isn't a screen. It's a team that grew, a product that shipped, a process that stuck, or an organization that changed.
Established GE's Mobile Center of Excellence and led the company's first enterprise iOS app — the flagship deliverable of the GE–Apple partnership. Built on global contextual research with MRO workers and IIoT operators across multiple countries.
Led Mozilla's design and research organization through significant company-wide uncertainty. Rebuilt team culture, implemented lean delivery workflows, and directed a full redesign of the Hubs platform — with every team member still standing after three years.
Founded a consumer product company targeting the trading card game market. Single-handedly owned product design, sourcing, Shopify UX, DTC and wholesale channel growth, and community strategy — culminating in a successful acquisition by Misty Mountain Gaming.
I became a design manager because I realized I was more interested in making other designers better than in being the best designer in the room. That shift happened at GE, where I was handed a team of 11 UX professionals and a mandate to help build enterprise software for people in aircraft hangars, on factory floors, and in operations centers around the world.
That work changed how I think about design. Good UX isn't beautiful. It's trusted. It's used. It works when the stakes are high and the user is exhausted.
From there I led Mozilla's design organization through a period of real organizational turbulence — and we came out with the whole team intact, more efficient, and shipping a complete product redesign. Zero attrition over three years. That's not luck. That's culture.
I've also built something from scratch. In 2023 I designed and launched a physical product, grew it to retail shelves and a loyal community, and sold the company two years later. The cycle of designing, testing, iterating, and handing something off is one I understand from both ends of the table.

"Design teams do their best work when they feel safe to take risks, have clarity about what matters, and know someone's in their corner. My job is to build that environment — then get out of the way."

"At the manager level, the most important design deliverable isn't a prototype — it's a team that knows how to make decisions without you in the room."
